The second season of the Ted Lasso kicked off in July 2021 and continued the story of Ted Lasso, an American football coach who is hired to manage an English Premier League soccer team, AFC Richmond.

In Season 2, Ted (played by Jason Sudeikis) is still dealing with the aftermath of his divorce and the pressure of being a foreign coach in a new country. He also faces a new challenge when the team’s owner, Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham), hires a sports psychologist, Dr. Sharon Fieldstone (Sarah Niles), to work with the team. Ted and Dr. Fieldstone initially clash, but they eventually find common ground and work together to help the team.

Meanwhile, the players of AFC Richmond face their own challenges, including dealing with injuries, romantic relationships, and personal struggles. Jamie Tartt (Phil Dunster), the team’s former star player who was traded in the previous season, returns to the team and tries to earn his place back. Sam Obisanya (Toheeb Jimoh), the team’s Nigerian midfielder, becomes an activist for social justice causes and uses his platform to raise awareness.

Throughout the season, Ted also deals with personal issues, including his anxiety and a surprising family situation. The show continues to explore themes of sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth, while also delivering its trademark humor and heartwarming moments.
