The Shoe: Nike Daybreak ‘Light Armory Blue’

The Nike Daybreak has found bolder colorways lately of the classic renditions of the shoe. Nevertheless, the classic Nike model has drawn in fans globally. We see these shoes in a later episode “Do the right-est thing”

Lately, the Nike Daybreak has been offered in new color arrangements taking the 1979 marathon-ready runner onto the streets. This two-toned version mimics the UNC heritage of navy blue and armory blue. The nylon uppers and a rubber waffle outsole stay true to the original design. Suede overlays are tinted in a darker obsidian blue shade. The overlays balance out the sky blue base. Clean hits of white are present on the heel tab, tongue label, and midsole to disrupt the mix of blues. The colors come together to craft a cool-toned offering appropriate for the winter season.

The Episode: Lavender

Jamie bailed on Man City to do a reality show Lust Conquers All. However, the show votes Jamie off this week. Jamie tracks down Keeley and admits that he wants to come back to Richmond after his failed attempt at reality show stardom. Then, Keeley directs Jamie to Ted.

Jamie admits to Ted he only did the reality show to annoy his father. Ted is sympathetic, but turns Tartt down. Unfortunately, the team saw a picture on social media of Ted and Jamie together. Consequently, they assumed a return was in the offing, and they got extraordinarily angry. “No teammate has ever made me feel as bad about myself as Jamie did,” Sam tells Ted. At this point, the subject seems closed with Sam relieved.

The reassured Sam tells Ted how much it means to his father that he’s “in safe hands”. Though, this reminds Ted of Jamie’s lousy father. And so, after a reminder from Dr. Sharon that Richmond might be happy and harmonious, it’s also winless. Shockingly, Ted delivers Jamie and his little headband to practice. At this point, it’s clear that Jamie Tartt has a lot of work to do with the team to regain their trust.

In the end, Dr. Sharon allows Ted to call her “Doc” and admits that her favorite book is The Prince of Tides, so maybe there’s hope for this very odd couple.
