The Shoe: Eric Koston Air Jordan 1 Low ‘Powder Blue’
We see Ted Lasso wearing the Nike Air Jordan 1 Low, a favorite of Jason Sudeikis. The Eric Koston x Air Jordan 1 Low SB ‘Powder Blue’ represents a silhouette that Koston missed out on as a kid. But he was able to help design and eventually wear as a sponsored Nike SB athlete. The low-cut shoe was first seen on the foot of Koston and released in August 2019. It has a white-based leather upper with Dark Powder Blue detailing, Nike Swoosh and overlays. Finishing the style is the classic Wings logo on the heel, and Koston’s signature on the inside tongue label.
The Episode: All Apologies
In this episode, Rebecca finally summons Ted to her office to discuss the real truth. During their discussion, she tries to tell him what she’s done, but can’t quite bring herself to do it. Instead, she asks Ted if they can try again later. Then Rupert, Rebecca’s ex-husband, comes by and tells Rebecca he and Bex are having a baby. The news shatters Rebecca. Throughout their marriage, Rupert always told her he didn’t want children. Now, he does, because he’s “found the right person.” He came all the way down to her office to tell her in person so she wouldn’t have to find out from the press.
Finally, Rebecca tells Ted the truth about using him to destroy the football franchise. In Ted fashion, he forgives her. He understands how difficult divorce is and how it can make you do crazy things. Beyond that, the job has changed his life. In retrospect, the job gave Ted the space to see what was really going on with his own family. Overwhelmed with emotion, Rebecca hugs him.
